Orgy in the woods
So remember when I told you I went to high school in Mill Valley 90210? Its situated at the foot of Mt Tamalpais in Marin County. Marin is what's on the other side of the Golden Gate bridge incase you're not down.
It was fun growing up there even though I went to Bulimia High. After school we would hitchhike over the mountain and drink 40s and watch the sunset at a spot called Sunset. We'd have bonfires on the weekends in Bolinas or Stinson Beach and make out with the surfer dudes, who were pretty much just older burnouts.
Anyhow, sometimes the mountain looks like New Zealand or Scotland, especially when its foggy out. The other day I hiked with my friend Liz about 3 miles into Muir Woods to see the ladybugs mate. It was beautiful! Waterfalls, creeks, moss, streams, mushrooms, giant ferns, crickets. Wish you guys could've seen/heard/smelled how beautiful it was. Here are some snaps of the ladybugs. Bolinas aka "Bo" is this weird hippie surf town that is SERIOUSLY Locals Only. As in, they uproot signs on Hwy 1 that point toward the town and heckle anyone who gets in the water who isn't from there. Its really tiny and cultish. If anyone new tried to move in they'd have to pass by the Water Board, which was basically the 'Mayor' and his three friends. If they didn't like you they just wouldn't give you water, even if you built a house there. Such a weird place. It wasn't as exclusive last time I visited. There were SUVs and tourists and stuff. I bet the OGs are bummed about that.
