Rebrand the world’s most popular gaming organization
Task
During my contract role as Interim Creative Director of Faze Clan, I was given a blank slate to help shape a brand voice that resonated with the organization’s diverse, global audience. I spearheaded the development of new content, strategic collaborations, and events that helped bring together the gamers into a relevant cultural influencer space.
My goal was to enhance talent presence in the gaming and cultural spheres. I aligned campaigns across the content, gaming, and merchandise teams and created a Brand Bible that fortified Faze’s new identity. These endeavors helped to refine brand strategy and ensure that partnerships and messaging aligned with our ethos, contributing to a cohesive, impactful narrative. I also helped lead creative on the team’s first branded series as part of a docuseries for Nissan.
Results
The rebrand was part of a larger strategic shift to evolve from content creators to becoming a world-class eSports organization with a diversified business. We expanded to merch and apparel, talent management, and a content production studio, positioning the brand to become a publicly listed company.
