Aviva Yael is a comedy adjacent writer living in Los Angeles.
After beginning my career in fashion at Diane Von Furstenburg, I became the first Fashion Director at VICE, where I contributed to the magazine’s highly-popular Do’s and Don’ts section, which has since been published in two best-selling books. After serving in editorial positions at various magazines and some massive websites, I wrote No Regrets: The Best, Worst, & Most #$%*ing Ridiculous Tattoos Ever. Published by Grand Central in 2008, the book was widely reviewed and featured everywhere from The New York Times, Nylon, and MTV to Howard Stern and The Onion. My best and hopefully last day job was being on Pharrell Williams' creative team. I ran marketing across his music, fashion, film/tv, and educational endeavors, and created the voice of i am OTHER, his creative collective. I launched my branding and copywriting agency in 2017, where I shape a more clever voice for brands, celebrities, and startups, but my passion is writing, so also I ghostwrite television, film, music videos, skits and sketches for people with healthy IMDB pages. I love to joke all day on Twitter.
